You can delete your ChoreBrawl account at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, so please read what happens to your household below before you go ahead.
Delete in the app (recommended)
- Open ChoreBrawl and sign in.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll down and tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation and tap Delete.
Your account is deleted immediately.
Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so cancel yours in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings before deleting your account, otherwise it will keep renewing.
What happens to your household
The app shows you exactly which case applies before you confirm.
If you created the household
The household is deleted along with your account. That means the current match, all chore history, custom chores, titles progress, and the season standings are erased for both of you. Your partner keeps their own account and can create or join a new household.
If you joined someone else’s household
Only your own data is erased: your account, profile, the chores you logged, and your monthly results. The household itself stays with the person who created it, along with any custom chores you added (no longer linked to you). The rope for the current month is recalculated without your chores, and your partner can invite a new player.
If you’re not in a household
Just your account and profile are deleted.
What we delete
- Account: your email address and sign-in data.
- Profile:your display name, profile photo, and the titles you’ve earned.
- Gameplay data: your chore logs, scores, streaks, and monthly results (and the whole household, if you created it).
- Device data: the push notification tokens for your devices.
What may be kept
- Backups:deleted data can remain in our hosting provider’s routine backups for a limited period until they are overwritten.
- Purchase records: Apple or Google keep records of your purchases, and our subscription provider, RevenueCat, keeps a record of transactions linked to an anonymous ID, as needed for billing, tax, and fraud prevention.
- Legal obligations: anything we are required by law to keep, for as long as the law requires.
Can’t access the app?
Email privacy@chorebrawl.com from the email address you use to sign in to ChoreBrawl, with the subject “Account deletion request”, and confirm that you want your account permanently deleted. We may ask you to verify that the account is yours. We’ll handle your request within one month and confirm by email when it’s done.
